The other two got tempered glass protectors, so don&#8217;t use these images to compare the display quality too much, though the view-angle difference is quite significantly visible (The Pro IS on).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC10890_red.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1539\" src=\"https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC10890_red-1024x351.jpg\" alt=\"dsc10890_red\" width=\"640\" height=\"219\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC10890_red-1024x351.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC10890_red-150x51.jpg 150w, https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC10890_red-300x103.jpg 300w, https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC10890_red-768x263.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Note how thin the Priv is compared to the others. 9mm is quite impressive for a slider.<\/p>\n<p>Of course a phablet is less handy in use, but the size of the screen in daily use for say browsing is great.<\/p>\n<p>The pixel density of the old ones (265 resp 326) is a little low, even for my old eyes, on the other hand the Priv is beyond me in the region where I can focus &#8211; even though the claimed 540ppi is exaggerated, as the pixels are not (as displays conventionally are) RGB, but more like camera-sensors RGGB with twice as many greens, as red and blue (pentile diamond).<\/p>\n<p>A 540ppi classic RGB would have had 452 subpixels of each of R, G and B per mm\u00b2, but the pentile RGGB display has 544 green subpixels per mm\u00b2, but only 272 red and blue per mm\u00b2.<br \/>\nIf you would count the total number of subpixels per mm\u00b2 and calculate backwards that would be the same subpixeldensity as a classic RGB 484ppi<\/p>\n<p>But never the less it looks gorgeous, and details are more crisp than my eyes can see.<\/p>\n<p>My good old Pro looks like a dwarf next to the Priv.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC11014_red.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1540\" src=\"https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC11014_red-1024x816.jpg\" alt=\"dsc11014_red\" width=\"640\" height=\"510\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC11014_red-1024x816.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC11014_red-150x120.jpg 150w, https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC11014_red-300x239.jpg 300w, https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC11014_red-768x612.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It looks like the keys have become much much smaller, but this is in part an illusion. Comparing the keyboards &#8216;neck-to-neck&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC11049_Crop.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1541\" src=\"https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC11049_Crop-1024x665.jpg\" alt=\"dsc11049_crop\" width=\"640\" height=\"416\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC11049_Crop-1024x665.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC11049_Crop-150x97.jpg 150w, https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC11049_Crop-300x195.jpg 300w, https:\/\/eskerahn.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/DSC11049_Crop-768x499.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It is clear that it is &#8216;only&#8217; a 9:10 width-reduction of the keys (roughly), and of course removal of a couple of keys<\/p>\n<p>What I miss the most on the keyboard is the arrow keys. The navigation currently offered are simply not fully thought through, it is a theoretical solution, that does not work well in practise &#8211; but I&#8217;m sure it is just a software upgrade away.<br \/>\nI added a few suggestions to BB on that <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.blackberry.com\/2016\/06\/rediscover-your-blackberry-priv-keyboard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here a few photos of my last three phones\/phablets.
