I stumpled upon a much wider variant of the one I favourably reviewed as H06
In this image I have de-faked the display back to its real dimensions! (91% of advertisement fakes)
The H06 is known by Aoke as AIPKER GX2, and they also got this almost identical but much wider AIPKER GX03. I have a strong suspicion that Aoke is a wholesaler only here, but I do not know for sure. Vanssa supplies much more information on the H06, but I can not see this wider one in their portfolio.
It is also sold as KM100 from the vendor that calls the H06 for KM88.
And here and here as TKY-X3, I ordered two 2024-01-12 and got them 2024-02-04.
ADD: Found it on Amazon at a fairly steep $60 here and here called X3, by ‘brand’ XRXT.
It is more than 57% larger (ø51.4mm) and 54.4mm long, BUT the profile of the arms makes is quite suited for arms less than I feared, though I feel it is too big to me, it actually is much better suited than expected. Here next to the H06 sibling:
Though the H06 certainly suits my arm better, but could have been a tad bigger
Note how it is the downwards pointing arms that make the GX03 not looking completely ridiculous on my arm like e.g. the TN88, despite the GX03 being larger (though slightly thinner).
It is reflections that make the TN88 look thinner, actual it is thicker though marginal (7.5 vs 7.4mm)
Note also the nice smooth way the band arms integrate with the house, just like a proper watch.
And that this one sold as “black”, is more like dark graphite than black. Cool colour, but misleading selling it as “black”. (The band is black)
The standard 22mm band it comes with is for 15-22cm wrists.
But I would say that it is best suited for an arm at the least 65mm wide, or about 200mm in circumference. (my arm is about 60mm resp. 175mm)
Here the golden variant with a quite cool titanium band from here. Note that the buckle folded is almost the thickness of the band it self (4.1 vs 3.1mm), and that the release buttons from the side looks like a link.
The specs. seem identical to the H06/GX2 except that the battery is 280mAh, and the display 75%(!) larger with 1.75″
The display coverage is thus 74.8% with 3.5mm bezels. And the battery 40% larger.
Add: After disconnecting the two sibling fully charged and wearing on right and left arm, the H06/GX2 is now down to 10% and the GX03 down to 31%, so though not linear I expect an extra week on the GX03, as the +40% also points add. I should have noted down the progress to be plotted, but well I did not …
As the H06 is surprisingly good, I expect that it will go for this wider sibling also, and after a couple of weeks, no complaints.
It oddly uses 22mm standard bands. For such a monster I would have expected 26 or 24mm.
I have here also scaled the dial down from the advertisement to real dimension (91%)
You might have expected that such a large screen had a higher resolution, but it is the same ø466, so 266dpi, and that is not impressing ultimo 2024…. (the H06 got 353dpi) so maybe it is intended for people with impaired vision? The larger battery would give it an expected stamina over four weeks, compared to the three weeks of the H06.
I order two the cheapest place I found yet here ($63 with shipping, excluding local DK taxes $16), but not with the intention of actual wearing, just for the sake of having it as a reference for an oversized watch of decent thickness.
Here a copy of specs from one of the listings
I have added a nice 22mm Titanium band to it (from here), replacing the ugly pink band the golden one came with. And will try to wear it a few days at the least.
Except for the extra (customizable) lower button, it seems functional identical to the H06, though “Women health” has surprisingly been removed (There are a quite a number of women with large arms also…). The lower button can be set to any of the 23 menu items, available from the menu (accessible by double clicking the normal button).
And obviously a new setting for setting the short-cut for the lower key has been added. Also accessible by long pressing the lower key.
The current software version is AT281SNV000140 (The H06 currently at AT365SBV000099)
20250329 update Turning the app on a monther later and i was offered a AT281SNV000202, and I accepted that. BUT after install only ONE (not four as usual) user selected watch face can be on the watch at the time. So the big question is what they needed to steal this space for??? I have tried to browse through the menues, but did not spot any additions. At upgrade it said
“Version: AT281SNV000202 Optimise performance, upgrade traditional Chinese fonts.” So the watch-face space might have been wasted on fonts I could not care less for…
Would be really nice if stuff like fonts and language support was something we could add&remove from the app! I would guess that less an extremely small fraction, all will use a watch UI with one language only. Even if the user is multilingual.
But as a similar 2.2 version is NOT offered for the H06, this indicates that the manufacturer is really Aoke. So I will try to find a GX2 flavour of the H06, and see if it gets offered newer firmware…
Looking at the back there are no surprises next to the H06 (click to enlarge)
Vibration
To my surprise there is a significant difference between the vibrator on the two, so I guess it could be moving in parallel to the glass. That was a surprise to me! But of course makes sense.
Conclusion
Rather than repeating the review, I will suggest to look at the H06 review here. Also for the conclusion, as this one is just as good, for those with a sufficiently large arm. With only differences being the larger display, larger battery and an assignable physical shortcut button .
