Claimed as ultra-thin and curved, but isn’t really neither!
Will NOT be used should not have wasted money on it… 🙁
The advertising numbers and images looks promising, but unfortunately they are far from reality.
I had hoped to find a recommendable thin square watch, but this is not it!!
The real curvature is very slight and the watch is substantially thicker. The software is weak on top of it…
The ads looks very promising, and indicate an Android like interface
But the curvature is less, the watch is thicker, and the interface is nothing like the indicated.
It is 1.0cm thick at the ø29.4mm slightly curved protrusion, and 8.3mm outside, and though that is better than most, it is far from impressive.
At the ends outside the protrusion it is 7.5mm though, but by that standard you could claim the various T8 as 4mm
The screen curves slightly towards the ends, so the centre is about 0.8mm raised from the ends. So though better than flat, quite far from helping the large case becoming substantially closer to wearable.
Though it should be praised for the nice compact band attachments, integrating really nicely with the body. Whether the band needs to go perpendicular for a small arm, or parallel for a very large arm.
Here a close-up without the band. Note that it is slightly slanted and curved, giving the band a snug fit to the watch-case, in all mount positions.
(Note the speaker hole/slit also)
The case width is 39.6mm, and the length 50.3mm (46.4 ex arms).
The display is 31 x 38mm, covering 64% of surface area. Over 4mm bezels is a bit much for a square watch in 2024/2025… There seems to be no sensors or anything top or bottom using the space.
The user interface is quite similar to the various other cheap Chinese ones.
It uses the rather crappy app Fitcloudpro
Health monitoring can be selected on/off in a user selectable period of the day. No other settings at all here, like weekday&weekend or for the polling frequency when On
AOD Off/Analogue/Digital, no further settings.
Neither ambient light nor proximity sensor.
There is a VERY limited offer of 52 alternative dials (click to enlarge)
Of which just one can be on the watch at the time. At the least a few of them are nice and discrete, so kudos for that.
The upload times to the watch depends on the face, some are animated some simple, so they vary from 66Kb to 555Kb , and upload times vary between roughly 3 and 20s.
So tolerable to swap from the phone.
The watch got a rotating crown, with nice audible mechanical clicks giving feedback that can be felt in the fingertips.
Used in normal time mode it switches the dial, and that is more a nuisance than practical, IMHO.
It is used a few places. e.g. for scrolling through lists.
In the custom timer, it is for some reason for hours only, so you need to do minutes/seconds by touch, making it a bit pointless.
You can not set the time, it is copied from the watch
It has an unusual function where you can save four QR codes for receiving money to a QQ, WeChat, Alipay or Paypal account. That was new to me.
It has some Voice Assistant menu entry – nothing happens when I try to activate it. Maybe something needs to explicitly be turned on somewhere – I do not know, and frankly do not care…
I have no idea of the accuracy of any health aspects of it, as I’m not going to wear it, except that a simple test of heart rate at rest seems to do OK – but only the worst will not pass that test, and I did not even remove the protective foil from the back….
It is going back to the box, and os not likely to leave it again, unless it finds a new owner….
