Watches, bands & rings (smart)
A section of mainly reviews of a number of smart-bands and watches plus a proper watch, but also some list and more general remarks. Added a few smart-rings too.
My interest is in the more elegant end, that are not too thick. I try to avoid the two-watches-thick ones, that looks like wearing a pillbox on a string. But I have reviewed some that I tried on for the features.
Note that I got zero interest in sports and fitness fanaticism, so these aspects are not at all covered in the reviews, other than perhaps mentioning the existence of the features.
Occasionally I mention a product that I’m almost certain I will get (or have even ordered and are awaiting), and then change it to a review once I get my hands on it

The ER08 is a many ways nice smart-ring, unfortunately offering very coarse monitoring only., limiting the target group of users drastically.
Its claim to fame is ECG as indicated by the small drawing on the ring.

High value for small money…., has become my new daily driver! Used for half a year. 3 weeks per charge.
It exists in both a 6.9 and 7.3mm version, with different top glass, ø41.0mm (and a wider ø51.4mm variant too, see this)

The band goes into the housing (like e.g. Huawei Band 7) and they supply a chain so it can be used as a pendant also.
Physically suitable for wrists as low as 10cm in circumference. And could be used on even narrower!

Thin round T8 Mini, T8 and T8 Pro smart watch 2024 trio. Review.
The original T8 is being replaced by a new trio of a 7.5% narrower T8 Mini, a T8 and a T8 Pro with speaker and mics for BT-calls.
These are ad renderings images of the T8 Mini and Pro where I scaled the dial by 87% resp. 92% to get the actual display to case ratio(!!), and scaled them too the correct relative case size
Like the T8original post, this is likely to be an ongoing project for a while.

A really THIN 6 weeks Smart watch, “T8”, (And “R18”)
Merely 7.8mm thick (6.9 excluding small protrusion, and down to 4.0mm at the edge), AMOLED with AOD.
By far the most wearable smart watch I’d ever seen!!
ADD 20240405: I got an upcoming narrower T8 Mini. that is part of a trio replacing the original T8, see review here.
UPDATE: I have revised this thread to include the various updates from the over a year I have used it.
Currently at $25 including shipping…. Even better stamina than expected, six weeks! (less nine hours)

Thin TN88 smartwatch, disappointed review
In December 2023 (I think) a new thin watch was launched, 9% thicker, 8% wider and with 21% larger display than the T8.
I got it 2024-02-27. The verdict is: Disappointment!
Lastest updates: 2024-03-09, back in box!, 2024-03-28 References to T8 Mini, 2024-11-12 DA09 better in all areas!

E600, E500, E400 Cheap ECG smartwatches w. breast strap
I bought this cheap E600 smart watch out of curiosity of what a breast strap mount can do.
And it is certainly better than I expected for the price, though not without its flaws!
UPDATE: The first unit is broken after just six weeks, refusing to charge!!
UPDATE II The E400 is broken with same failure, bought a E420, and adjusted a bit on that.
